A grand tour of some of my favourite businesses!
Spent today catching up on cleaning and some life stuff (putting it off) and visited some lovely businesses.
Ritz Car Wash (2622 W Chicago Ave). I have been here before and always forget how amazing they are here. My car was flithy and now it is sparkling clean! Best car wash in the city. Wonderful.
Clean as a Whistle (836 W Adams St). CUTEST DRY CLEANER EVER. So adorable. Grace, the owner, introduces herself if you are a new customer and smiles non-stop. Chats about where you live and how great you will fit in in the neighborhood. And seemingly gifted in the tailoring department (we shall see).
San Marino Deli (605 W Lake St). One of the best places to get sandwiches in town. Caprese (toasted) is amazing. Pecan cups are addictive. Pasta in vodka sauce is reportedly a revelation.
And the K-Mart at Ashland and Blackhawk is still one of the most depressing places in the city. Had to buy a garbage can and regretted buying it there. Yuck.

I believe I have conquered every photobooth in the city after this weekend.
Skylark is the best for classic strips—very well exposed and big frames!
Bar Deville also has really fun, saturated, retro, glossy ones.
And here is what I think is the only picture Joel and I have of each other together after 6 months of dating. Photographer irony!
