Autumn
It was so chilly today. About 50 degrees. And windy. And gray for the morning. It made me realize fall is officially here and even more than that, winter is fast approaching, making me question my committment to staying in this icebox of a town. Today created such a palpable sense of anxiety in me, as I think winter is prone to do. My winters of the past 4 years or so have been rather disastrous....

Sepia
I am getting ready to go to Sepia with my dessert club*, where I most assuredly will not be eating cheesy tomato bread. I am extremely excited, although I think I am embarassingly more eager to see their interiors than eat the food. *Dessert club was started this summer. Myself and a group of 7-10 girls go out once a month to a generally nicer establishment to eat desserts. Yes, this is...

Another Thing I Won't Miss about this Apartment
The utter stupidity of the post office. Today, I had three pieces of mail delivered to my box. NONE, I repeat, NONE of them were addressed to me. Not only that, but two of them didn’t even  have the right address (not just unit number, but building number). Good riddance, ‘22.

No second chances with your heart.
playnice: You’re a rational human being. You can determine when someone deserves a second chance. But when it’s a second chance with your feelings, it’s tough to stay objective. How many times have we said, “never again,” only to return to someone that’s hurt us in the past because they’re comfortable. I think we need to remember that, odds are, this time won’t be different. This person...
