Boys boys boys
I’ve hung out with guys for the past four days in a row. And I love it. Male friendships are such meaningful and neccessary parts of a girl’s life, and I’m glad that they now seem to be in fairly regular supply for me.

Batman
Heath Ledger was unreal. I’ve not seen any other movies that were released for the next Oscar season, but it is difficult to imagine someone giving a more magnificent performance. Not to be trite, but what a loss for the acting community.
The Batman growl-voice was, indeed, obnoxious, as I think was mentioned in the Times critique.
The boat scene was fantastic.

The Perfect Summer Cocktail
Inspired by the watermelon salad at Mana on Division, I made a watermelon cocktail last night with C + M. It was random and a total guess, but it was pretty damn delicious: very fruity and summery, but not cloyingly sweet or “candy-like.”
Rough recipe, so that I remember vaguely how to make it again.
For three glasses:
